West Virginia Mountaineers On Verge Of Becoming Even More Dangerous Basketball Team To Play

The West Virginia Mountaineers basketball team has compiled an impressive 10-1 record so far but just how good are they at this point as they finish up this month's games and prepare for the start of what is likely to be another grueling Big 12 Conference schedule in January?  Some think the Mountaineers have earned their current Number 22 ranking "by the skin of their teeth" because of the team's poor shooting percentage from the floor, especially by key players like Juwan Staten and Devin Williams.  While there is obviously significant room for improvement in this critical area of the team's play, the season is still relatively young so there's plenty of time to make any needed adjustments.  And the reason they are currently 10-1, with the only loss being by 1 point, is because they have more than made up for below par shooting percentage with above par performance in other key areas, such as pressing relentlessly and inducing a high amount of turnovers by opponents that are then often converted to points. Assuming that they continue doing the things they are already doing well, and reasonably improve on the things they have not done as well in, then there's really no reason to believe that the Mountaineers won't become even more dangerous to play than they already have been, as surely upcoming Big 12 opponents have already taken notice of.  In any case, it should be fun and exciting to watch it all unfold.
